Stroll Down Memory Lane ~ Re-watching Old TV Series

I find that watching episodes of old TV series gives me the same sense of calm I had at the time of its first airing. It's like being transported back to a simpler time in your life.

For that reason, I'm planning on doing a full on marathon of series like The Pretender (1996-2000), La Femme Nikita (1997-2001) and, of course, Star Trek The Next Generation (1987-1994). As I re-watch these series I'm going to pose questions and hopefully get a few discussions going. I hope you guys will join me in my trip to the past and that I can expect to see comments from you all.

To get things started, let me throw out my first question.

Who is the most beautiful woman to have starred on Star Trek The Next Generation?

My pick is Famke Janssen. She starred in "The Perfect Mate" episode (Season 5, episode #21). I'd love to hear what you guys think, whether you agree or have another character in mind.

Being Yourself in a World of Puppet Masters.

Do you ever feel like you go through life waiting for the next person or establishment to tell you what you're worth? Whether it's the opposite sex telling you how attractive you are or banks telling you how you rate financially, one way or another you are judged on a daily basis. The key to being happy in spite of this is having a core sense of worth. I know it's easier said than done and that building self esteem is a process, but once you have, once you recognize your intrinsic worth then the barrage of entities trying to change and label you won't have as much of an impact.

Run River Run

Hi everyone, I'm River. I'm new to blogging but there are plenty of things I enjoy talking about and I'm likely to create additional blogs to cover all the topics that interest me. For this first post though, I'd simply like to tell you a little about myself. I suffer from social phobia for one thing, which gives me insight into many other disorders. I can be OCD-ish at times, which is sure to lead to some hilarious posts. I love animals, I'm frequently amazed by the beauty of nature and I've been known to be a big kid at heart. Many of my posts will be on the topic of mental health, current events and being the best you that you can be. I look forward to building a relationship with you all and learning about myself in the process. If you like my blog, please subscribe and leave comments. If you know someone who would like or benefit from following my blog, please send them a link. In the future, you will be able to contact me through various methods but, for now, I would just like to say hello and Happy New Year.
